Description The quality of education is from the didactic perspective a matter of reflection oriented towards the objectives, content, and methodological (structural) and relational dimension of education. While respecting the components and characteristics of the quality of education, the authors focus on teacher’s subjective theories as a variable in the education process. They study the target values in the scope of quality education, based on a different/new view of nature and culture, and they present the ideological dimension of the curriculum within the scope of the topic at hand. After defining and substantiationg the main attributes, they present the results of a research whose aim was to describe the subjective theories of a selected group of teachers to biophile orientated education and find out how these theories are reflected in the education process. The research used the technique of structuring concepts based on semistructured interview. The description of subjective theories as a result of mapping of the ways of teachers’ thinking about nature and culture in the context of education is evaluated not only in terms of psycho-didactic transformation, but especially from the onto-didactic perspective, i.e. understanding the ideological structuring content of in the fields of study.
