| Description | *The present invention provides a device for detection of halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons which contains a carrier with at least one indicator of presence of halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons, and at least one haloalkane dehalogenase (EC 3.8.1.5) immobilized on the surface of said carrier. Further provided is a method of detecting at least one halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon in a sample or environment, wherein the sample or environment is contacted with said device which is pre-treated by hydration, and the chemical change of the indicator of presence of halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons is evaluated. |
