Description Aim: The aim of the present study was to seek for the presence of the registries of pressure ulcers (PU) incidence and what data they collect. Method: The research had the character of a structured literature review. Articles focusing on the problem area of PU registries were searched out by means of a systematic trawl through various databases using the relevant terms. The search was limited to articles in English issued between 2010 and 2015 in electronic databases SCOPUS and Nursing OVID. Results / Discussion: In total, 2 papers fulfilling the basic criteria were found. There is only one national register for monitoring of patients with non-healing wounds in general, not only for decubitus lesions in Sweden mentioned in reviewed scientific papers. Conclusion: According to available information from review it was recognised that only one register of PU currently exists at the national level in Sweden - Register for Ulcer Treatment - RUT. Parallel with this review was implemented survey among representatives of collaborating societies of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) and European PU Advisory Panel (EPUAP) in order to found information about the existence of registries on the care of patients with non-healing wound. It can be assumed that the registers exist in other countries, but information is not available in electronic databases, hence, the aforementioned survey was realized.
