Keywords self-concern; anticipation; identity; psychological continuity; narrative continuity
Description In this paper I argue against the current tradition grounding self-concern in psychological continuity and anticipation. I argue there is a distinct type of self-concern that does not require anticipation and adapt the narrative theory of personal identity to account for it.
