| Description | In the contribution there is presented the academic career and complete bibliography of a renowned Czech linguist, who successfully spread knowledge of the Baltic and Slavic languages, especially in USA and Australia. He devoted a special attention to minority languages, introducing the term linguo-ecology for a care for them. |
