| Description | This study is focused on the function and meaning of subsistence farming on contemporary life in the countryside. Subsistence farming is an integral part of Czech rural society. In recent years, the phenomenon is extended betone rural areas. Subsistence farming is considered environment-friendly. It is likened to organic farming. It is also an important tool for maintaining sustainability. The study will be described the current situation of this form of farming in the areas of its origin. They will be determined functions of subsistence farming and motivation of people to its operation. |
