| Description | Consequence of the paradox of the resource curse is seen in the period 1970-1990 when the petroleum boom in Venezuela and mineral boom in Peru, Bolivia and Mexico. In these countries, growth in mining GDP stagnated or even declined. It is obvious that physical geographical factors, although they operate, but for economic development are crucial economic and political factors. |
