| Description | The Public Defender of Rights is considered to be a public body without authoritative power. Nevertheless, it can be assumed that while exercising their powers, a damage can occur. It may happen e. g. during the very exercise of their powers in the field of control or publishing of their results. The first goal of the paper is to identify the most common cases of a damage caused in such a way. The second goal is to consider the possibility of liability of Public Defender of Rights for the damage in question. |
