| Description | In his chapter entitled “How is hermeneutical study of religions possible?” O. Sládek introduced two different conceptions of hermeneutical study of religions. For the first, he shows that hermeneutics and the study of religions are very often comprehend as an indivisible whole. The study of religlions itself we could understand as an understanding theory (e.g. Wach´s uderstanding study of religions, Eliade´s creative hermeneutics etc.) in this point of view. For the second, he introduced hermeneutical study of religions as a set of hermeneutical theories and methods of individual researches. In the end of the chapter the author emphasizes that hermeneutical study of religions is not the only method we could use for interpretation of religious phenomena. |
