Description The text offers the opportunity to monitor visual art creation in children of Slovak minority living in a Romanian village of Gemelčičce (Fagetu). The village became in 2003 the place of the tradition of visual arts workshop thanks to teachers and visual artists who were coming with varied offer of activities supporting expressive creation of children. Gradually there was started the cooperation with the local teachers and thus that it was possible to influence the practice of visual arts in the local school in the benefit of the authentic self-expression of children. Researching the course and well as results of the aimed interventions, which took place between 2013 and 2015, it was possible to point to the creative potential of the children in Gemelčička, the benefit of the cration for the cultural life of the Slovak minority as well as of the local school. It was also possible to offer the teachers examples and recommendations how to lead the children to creation and how to develop their creative potential.
