Description Developing geometrical thinking is a long-term path and requires an informal encounter of pupils with geometrical concepts and their properties. One of the first activities children can encourage so in geometry is to work with geometrical shapes In this study, we show how children of elementary school worked with geometrical shapes, how they used their autonomous language to describe geometrical patterns, and how was developed their beliefs about concepts.
