Description The study material is targeted upon the students of the study programme Regeneration and Nutrition in Sport and Coaching. The text is divided into chapters. The first chapter serves as the introduction to the following chapters and its aim is to explain the relationships existing among loading, fatique, and regeneration. The second chapter provides information on the selected bio-medical parameters regarding the level of organism load, level of fatigue and quality of regeneration. Further part of the textbook is then dedicated to the individual regeneration means, which are organized in individual chapters. The third chapter focuses on the educational means of regeneration, primarily, on the planning, training periodization and the stages of sport preparation. The fourth chapter analyses the information from the field of psychological means, especially, the relationships between the psychological processes and regeneration. Part of the chapter is dedicated to the basic information on the professional techniques of psychological regeneration as autogenous training or progressive relaxation. The fifth chapter introduces all the basic procedures of physical therapy and their combinations. The following chapter is dedicated to the regeneration by movement and the secondary prevention of damaging the motor apparatus. The last but one chapter delivers the survey of the basis of nutrition and drink regimen in sporting individuals giving examples of some ergogenic tools. The last part of the text is dedicated to the problem of doping and to the risks linked with using doping substances.
