| Description | The paper deals with interpretation of non-legal instruments in international law. The pivotal question is according to which rules should they be interpreted? The paper focuses namely on interpretation of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and submits some thoughts on their interpretation as a non-law. The relevant context then is international investment arbitration. The paper concludes that if an international treaty refers to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the interpretation rules for international treaties should apply thereto. |
