Description Due to lack of research in the context of objective characteristics of work career and its psychological correlates was the aim of this study description of career stability and job satisfaction in middle adulthood. The work career was assessed in context of sense of coherence and personality traits according to Big Five model. The sample group consisted of 125 persons aged 43 to 56 (56 % of women). Methods used for assessment were Life History Calendar (LHC), Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (LSQ) and Orientation to Life Questionnaire (OLQ). The results showed that there are no significant differences in our sample group among people with stable, unstable or changeable career and their sense of coherence, personality traits and job satisfaction. On the other side we found a significant relationship between job satisfaction and personality traits and sense of coherence.
