| Description | I devote to the purpose of the punishment, with an emphasis on its educational purpose towards the convict and society. There is need to deal with the education of convict already during the execution of a sentence, which is done through various programmes. These programmes are followed by the care, which is provided to convict after their release, e.g. by the Probation and Mediation Service, non-profit organizations or social curators. In conclusion, I wonder whether it is possible to educate or re-educate any convict and whether the provided care is meaningful. |
