Description Imaging methods have irreplaceable role for diagnosis and monitoring of renal carcinoma, especially in primary tumor capture, tumor staging, and monitoring changes after treatment. The first part concerns most of the ultrasonography or computed tomography. Staging RCC is a clear indication for CT scan, Assessment of eventual metastatic scattering belongs to the methods of nuclear medicine. Monitoring after treatment is essential. In these cases, the whole range of imaging modalities can be used, including MR or methods of nuclear medicine, respectively hybrid methods.
