Description The paper summarizes the results of a research study of N = 380 novice teachers from six regions of the Czech Republic focused on partial aspects of their professional socialization (pupils, school, colleagues, leadership, parents and community and social context) and their well being in relation to the decision to stay in the profession of teacher (at the same or another school) or leave the teaching profession. The results are discussed in the context of support for novice teachers by school psychologists.
