| Description | In submitted article, the authors focus on current practice of the Supreme and Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic regarding the position of victims of crimes in the Czech criminal proceedings. They emphasize mainly position of especially vulnerable victim and protection of his/her procedural rights, which are often of essential impact on course and result of the evidence proceedings [e.g. (im)possibility of repetition of recognition in case of such victims]. In this context, the authors think about position of accused in such cases and seek certain equilibrium ensuring proportional and sufficient protection of rights of accused as well as victim of crime. |
