Description Harmonious and stimulating family background is an important prerequisite for healthy growth and development of the child. In some cases, it fails or is completely absent, and the institution takes care of the child. There were 5 clients of the educational institution coming from a problematic family environment with a history of behavioral disorders and use of addictive substances. To analyze their life stories, qualitative research was used, case studies, interviews and observations were worked out. The aim of the study was to find out whether children who have undergone institutional care have a chance to integrate into society and apply to the free labor market. The results show that clients who have been responsible for their future have been able to set real life goals, learn and get the right job. Clients view the years spent in the facility with joy and highly appreciate the interest and effort of pedagogical staff.
