| Description | The search and development ofnew drug classes in heart failure, and acute decompensation in particular, is still ongoing. We present results of clinical studies where natriuretic peptides, adenosine receptor blockers, vasopressin receptor blockers, serelaxin and omecamtiv mecabril, a new positive inotropic substance, are administered to patients. Although these new drug classes translate into advance in clinical care, not even one improves prognosis of patients with heart failure. |
