Teacher Training from the Novice Physical Education Teacher’s Point of View

Description The aim of this contribution is the exploration of physical education teacher training from the novice teachers’ point of view. The research sample included twenty novice physical education teachers who graduated Teacher Training in Physical Education from the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University in Brno. A semi-structured interview was chosen as a research tool. A qualitative data analysis shows that teachers suffer from shortcomings in three main areas: formal framework, content of study and human factor during study. The particular examples from each area will be analysed in detail in the part dealing with results and discussion.
