| Description | The contribution presents a suggestion for teachers to arouse interest of students in cultivated language communication: the focus is on current problems of orthographical norm and developmental tendencies of codification, defeating some superstitions and untruths relating to orthography and current Czech usage. Attention is paid to new phenomena in language, following mistakes in Standard Czech and orthographical norm in texts where the codified form is required and calls attention to excessive means of expression, manipulation through language etc. Everything is supported by authentic examples of orthographical/language errors in various kinds of texts. |
