| Description | The lecture is focussed on the productions of operas composed by Leoš Janáček in the National (former State) Theatre in Brno. Special attention is given to the changes in the so called "staging tradition of Janáček's operas". I focus mostly on the opera direction and scenography in the 50es and in the 60es, especially on the work of the director Miloš Wasserbauer and his co-workers. |
