| Description | The aim of this paper is to provide a brief analysis of the application of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in the Federal Republic of Germany, in particular the application of the Articles 4 and 9, and outline certain parallels with the Czech Republic. The paper deals with the status of the Charter under the German legal order, its impact on practice and the reservations made by Germany. |
