| Description | The article indicates elemental theoretical bases of contemporary researches of Russian foreign-political discourse as one of the important topics of fast evolving political linguistics and, in the following case study concerning the articles of A. Miller and F. Lukjanov called Restraint instead of constraint. Russia and the new world era, it is suggested which resources are used in contemporary Russian political journalism to update conceptual binomials of strength/weakness and threat/safety which are used as one of the instruments of basic functionalities of foreign-political discourse implementation. Apart from basic informative functionality, it is equally important persuasive functionality in contemporary international and internal political situation. |
