| Description | The contribution on the topic "The Competence and Responsibility of the Mayor" pointed to current trends and interpretation of the individual competences of the mayor. At the same time, it informed the participating mayors of both their potential private liability as well as possible criminal liability. It also introduced several general, from practice deriving, advices, how to act in the capacity of mayor (and city councilor) so as not to violate the duty of due managerial care and other obligations arising from the applicable legislation. In some cases, even the expert's advice may not be sufficient to make the mayor not-liable. |
