Description The publication deals with the development of cultural landscape in the historical context both as gradual changes of human society in the Holocene and as well as a sequence of processes of innovation, adaptation and structuring and their impacts. Human activities and their actors leading to landscape changes are divided into two categories: (1) traditional professions and (2) modern professions. The traditional professions include farmers, herdsmen, hunters, beekeepers, fishermen, water managers, foresters, miners, roadmen and builders. Modern landscape forming professions are represented by politicians, planners, conservationists, conservationists, GIS professionals, visionaries, and tourists. Attention is also paid to protected landscape management, UNESCO landscape programs and their applications in the Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve, Vlkolínec folk architecture conservation area, the upcoming Mikulčice-Kopčany archaeological park, as well as the latest international activities in the protection of sustainable landscape development.
