| Description | The following recommendations for the diagnosis and therapy of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection have been made by members of the working groups for viral hepatitis of the Czech Hepatology Society (ČHS) ČLS JEP and the Society for Infectious Medicine (SIL) ČLS JEP. They are based primarily on the recommendations issued by the European Association for the Study of Liver (EASL) in April 2018. The recommendations define a preferred approach to tackle HCV infection. In the treatment of chronic HCV infection, several variants of the procedure are always mentioned. This is due to the rapid development of new antiviral drugs and their uneven introduction into routine practice in individual countries. |
