| Description | The field of loanword adaptation is very dynamic and the dictionaries quickly are not up to date. We wondered what verbs we can now call "our foreign verbs". We focused on the most productive type of verb forming, that is to say, the verbs formed by suffix -ovat, and we searched for those not recorded in the morphological dictionary. In order to get as many verbs as the data source, we chose the Araneum Bohemicum III Maximum corpus (5.1.04). We captured 139 verbs, which we then divided into several groups according to the common properties. |
