Description The article summarizes the methodology and first results of the doctoral thesis which aims at the empirical investigation of those pronunciation phenomena that pose most difficulties to Czech learners of German. The selection of the phenomena assessed are typical mistakes of Czech native speakers in the subfield. Individual types of deviations are analyzed from the perspective of the students‘ previously aquired languages.
