Description Social media have noticeably changed the way we communicate. The extent to which they influence our behaviour, however, still remains an unanswered question: What is the role of influencers and of their communicative practices? What communicative strategies do they use to attract our attention? What is the function of #hashtags, @tags and emoji? We will be trying to answer and many other questions by analysing the Instagram posts of some well-known Czech and Slovak users of Instagram.
