| Description | The paper is dedicated to the notion of invalidity as one of the social events presupposed by international conventions concerning social rights and legal orders of number of countries. Invalidity is a long-term or permanent reduction of working ability of an individual and loss of ability to secure the income by gainful activity. In the legal order of the Czech Republic, the legal consequences of invalidity are regulated, in particular, in the system of pension insurance by means of invalidity pension. In addition, individuals recognised as persons with disability enjoy higher protection in labour market. |
