Description The study informs its readers about research studies about inclusive education from 2016 to 2019. All of these analyzed studies are published by Czech and foreign authors who have been interested in the issue of inclusive education and its implementation in mainstream schools. The main aim of the study is to provide a brief overview of the development and trends in the area of inclusive education in the Czech Republic and other countries in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Based on this analysis, the approach to inclusive education has been consistently developing. Thus, the opinions of stakeholders and the general public related to this issue have been changing. Nevertheless, the process of effective implementation of inclusive education needs a longer time period and the support of experts. The study also points out barriers relating to successful inclusion and on ways how to overcome them.
