Description The endoscopically assisted procedures in the maxillofacial area have extensive possibilities of use. They have their irreplaceable position in the maxillary sinus surgery. The functional treatment of the area of the natural opening fully determines successful cure during the chronic illness of paranasal sinuses. The area of so called ostiomeatal unit is most often affected where the frontal, maxillary and ethmoidal air cells are. The authors present their experience with the transnasal and the intraoral approaches to maxillary sinus and they highlight the advantages of individual methods depending on the type of the illness. They are concerned with the solving of complications connected with the stomatological procedures (radix in antro, chronic oroantral fistula, etc.) but also with the possibility of the endoscopic control of the reconstruction of the orbital floor in case of blow-out fractures.
