| Description | The study is focused on the problematic of specific oratorios performed at the ephemeral Holy Sepulchres during the Holy Week within the 17th century Imperial Court in Vienna. From the language point of view two exceptional sepolcri with German librettos set by Vice-Kapellmeister (later Kapellmeister) Johann Heinrich Schmelzer (1620/23–1680) are studied here in detail. |
