| Description | The paper on the example of selected Brno museums analyzed the contribution of museums to the formation and development of historical sciences in Moravia in 1918–1989. Thus, not only important achievements in this field and forms of cooperation with other research and academic institutions, but also key activities in the field of science popularization became a subject of interest. At the same time, the aim was to capture the basic directions, trends and changes in the various components of the then museum network (central, regional and specialized institutes + monuments) in all key periods of the “short 20th century”. |
