Description The walled gallows used to dominate the town of Ivančice until the second half of the 18th century. Archaeological research was carried out there in 2017-2018 during which human skeletal remains were uncovered and collected, being considered remains of executed persons. In this paper, the author presents results of an anthropological analysis of the collected human remains. At least 18 persons were executed on the Ivančice gallows, with one person being a juvenile age (16-19). The age of adults was in the categories adultus to maturus. Gender was only reliably estimated in six individuals, all of them being males. The height of the persons ranged from 167.7 cm to 176.4 cm. Healed fractures on a few bones and traces of hypoplasia and tooth decay were found. Traces of punishment related injuries (breaking on a wheel) were only found in two cases.
