Description In the period from 6.4.2018 to 9.11.2018, 218 Ixodes ricinus ticks were caught in the locality Pozořice - Panská zahrada by the flagging method. The amount of ticks varied depending on temperature, humidity, season, stand length and other factors. In DFM, spirochetes were observed in 13 of 86 samples (15.11%). Positivity to Borrelia burgdorferi s. L DNA was detected in at least 9 individuals out of 48 (18.75%) by PCR. Furthermore, the effectiveness of four different repellents was compared. According to our experiments, Repelent Predator Outdoor impregnation on clothes seems to be the most effective, with a repellency rate of 96%. Overall, the results show that repellents repel a high percentage of ticks.
