Description Along with their boundary the historical lands became relict at the beginning of 1949. Even decades after its formal abolishment historical land boundary between Bohemia and Moravia is in many segments distinguishable in the landscape. For example watercourses, roads or old boundary stones contribute to the distinguishability of the Bohemian-Moravian historical land boundary. Nevertheless primarily because of the administrative reforms some people perceive this border in another location. Thus we can speak about the existence of certain schizoid region which is perceived by some people as a part of Bohemia whereas others think it is Moravia. Not only is the image of this region schizoid but also the regional identity of its inhabitants – schizoid is the regional identity in the broad sense of meaning. Despite of this contradiction or rather thanks to it there are some forces in the society leading to the repeated materialisation of the relict historical land boundary. In this paper especially the northern part of the Bohemian-Moravian provincial boundary will be studied.
