| Description | Selenoproteins iodothyronine deiodinases (IDs) are the key enzymes in the metabolism of thyroid hormones (THs). These enzymes catalyze the most important metabolic transformations of iodothyronine molecules through stepwise mono-deiodinations (Leonard & Köhrle, 2000). |
