Description 1052/5000 The summary research report focuses on the possibilities and definition of the use of residual signaling data of mobile operators (so-called big data) for more accurate monitoring, analysis and prediction of traffic behavior of the population. The development of telecommunication technologies and the penetration of the company by mobile phones makes it possible to use the monitoring of the movement of mobile phones to determine the power of traffic flows. This technology will complement the existing standard database based on censuses, questionnaires and census data. In addition to robust quantitative information (eg number of trips), big data files also carry significant qualitative information (eg repetition of trips, length of stay in the destination, place of the traveler's intended residence, etc.). In combination with a suitable questionnaire survey, the determination of the current traffic flow and the resulting estimate of the future traffic flow during the construction of the relevant infrastructure can be refined, which will lead to a more accurate estimate of the use of public funds.
