| Description | The book is a tribute to the nestor of Czech Balkan studies, to the research in the field of Slavonic studies, but also to the translator and poet, prof. PhDr. Ivan Dorovsky, DrSc. In 2019, Ivan Dorovský celebrated his eighty-fifth birthday. To mark this important anniversary of his life, his collaborators, many of whom once belonged to his students, organized a scientific colloquium. The results of the colloquium are presented in this publication. It includes contributions summarizing and analyzing his versatile literary, historical, ethnographic and pedagogical activities, but it also contains studies that in one way or another touch on topics that I. Dorovský has dealt with during his long scientific career. |
