Description The article focuses on Section 47 of the Juvenile Justice Act, which concerns the duration of juvenile custody and its extension, on the basis of which, in the case of a juvenile who is being prosecuted for a particularly serious offense and has been taken into custody, the authorities in criminal proceedings have an obligation to decide on a possible extension of custody after six months. How does this correspond to the fact that in the case of adult offenders in custody, this obligation is enshrined after three months pursuant to Section 72 par 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code? Thus, in accordance with Section 47 of the Act on Juvenile Justice, may the right to personal freedom of a juvenile be unduly interfered with?
