| Description | The study focuses on the importance, portrayal a function of song in Czech literature for children and youth since the 19th century. Attention is given particularly to book collections of songs for children, which together with their illustrations represent a distinctive artwork. The study analyzes the collections of song texts and last but not least also deals with picture books, which portray music in a visual way. The study is a result of long-term literary-historical research focused on the literature for children and youth and its reception by a child reader. |
