Description Because of its sensitivity, specificity and possibility of quantification, the most suitable method for detection of viruses in human medicine, food and environment is a real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). In the case of viruses with RNA genome, qPCR is preceded by a reverse transcription step. However, this approach has a major disadvantage in a limited ability to create multiplex systems for rapid detection of multiple pathogens. Therefore, the diagnostic tool which allows in vitro detection of IVA, IVB and SARS-CoV-2 in various types of matrices (clinical material, water, food and swabs of environment or hands) in one reaction has been developed. This detection tool, “xMAP panel - detection of IVA, IVB and SARS CoV-2“, is unique in its composition and ease of use. The kit also includes an external sample analysis control (EAC) that allows valid analysis of each single sample.
