| Description | A new subspecies, Mimas tiliae orientalis ssp. nov., is described from the Palaearctic region. The discovery of the new taxon was made by comparison with established taxa of the genus Mimas Hübner, [1819]. The biogeography and evolution of the taxa of the genus Mimas is discussed in connection with changes of glaciation in the Palearctic area during the Quaternary period. |
