| Description | This publication is based on the most important, already published information about the valleys in the Moravian Karst and on our own long-term records. Where possible, it points to interrelationships in terms of the timelines of valley formation. So far, we know relatively little about the formation of individual valleys in the Moravian Karst, and we often only have working hypotheses without concrete evidence. The valleys themselves, and especially their individual parts, are of different ages. They are differently recessed and have different geomorphological profiles. Multiple development stages have occurred, and today we only see their preserved relics. Karst valleys pass through individual limestone layers without substantially altering their transverse and longitudinal profiles. |
