| Description | This paper seeks to determine the discourse created by the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT) on the question of the future direction of Taiwan. This paper is based on the political situation in October 2018, when Taiwanese people were actively engaged in protests about the future of Taiwan. PCT during these protests and then afterwards also began to comment on this issue. Using an analysis of articles published on the official PCT website and Facebook, the paper seeks to determine the exact discourse on the issue, and thus provide the reader with information about PCT's strategies for democratization and independence of Taiwan. |
