| Description | Th e study provides an overview of topics and empirical fi ndings from research conducted in the fi eld of preschool education in the Czech Republic in 2011-2020. It follows up an overview study of research on preschool education in the years 2000-2010. The study analysed research studies that were published in professional journals and relevant proceedings in the period under review. Th e study answers the research questions: (1) What topics were addressed in the research and what goals were pursued? (2) What methods were used and on what samples were the studies performed? (3) What signifi cant fi ndings and conclusions emerged from these studies? On the basis of their analysis of these studies, the authors came to the conclusion that during the period under review, the emphasis on publishing was shifted to professional journals; however, there was no signifi cant change in the area of topics covered. In the area of research methodology, it is possible to observe a shift to a qualitative or mixed methodology. |
