| Description | There is currently no permanent cure for endometriosis. The goal of treatment is relieve pain and other symptoms, reduce endometriotic lesions and improve the quality of patients' quality of life. Establishing endometriosis as a definitive diagnosis, based only on based on symptoms, can be very challenging. Typical symptoms are both non-specific and are similar to those of other diseases. This may delay definitive diagnosis often by many years. Although postoperative recurrence of endometriosis is very the usual therapeutic solution is surgery. To reduce the significant burden of endometriosis, an effective, safe, well-tolerated medical treatment suitable for long-term use is needed. |
